"BABY"DAY PREPing *DIY DECOR*

Well, I'm going to be a grandmother!  My oldest daughter & her husband are expecting a bundle of joy in June!  I am very excited to have a baby around but, the title is really not sitting well with me.  I have been researching the web looking for a good , cool "grandma" name!  Help!!

The most fun is preparing for the baby!  I've been working very hard making things for her nursery!

Yes, it's a girl! I have started this wreath for her door. I'm not sure exactly what I'm putting in the middle of the wreath yet.

I also started learning how to make bows. I had some scraps of ribbon around so I practiced with these.

Then, my ADHD kicked in & I just had to try to make a ribbon holder like these from KIDDIE KOUTURE in Ruston.

So far this is what I have.

I think I wanna add something else to it. Just not sure what.....

I'll post pictures of the end results as soon as I quit jumping to new projects & can finish one!

Until then, thanks.

Mother Of The Bride

About 1 1/2 years ago my oldest daughter married her true love. I must say that it was a very busy, stressful couple of months that lead up to that beautiful Saturday in early April. I have always dreamed of actually being able to decorate for a wedding but, I had no idea that I would actually get that chance. My daughter made the most beautiful bride that I have ever seen. We had a very small budget and had to really pinch pennies in order to make her dream day happen!

I must show you all of the flowers and other decorations that sat around my house in every possible spot just waiting for that magical day in which they could shine.

I made floral arrangements for each table at the reception as well as an arrangement for the bridal party table, which I still use on my dinning room table during the spring of the year.

I made the pew markers for the chapel and I decorated the arch that went over the wedding cake.

One of my very favorite things that my daughter decided to have was a candy buffet! I truly enjoyed putting that table together for her.

After the whirl wind was over & I had time to look back, there were several things I wish I had done differently. She and her new husband were very happy and said it was beautiful! I guess, just like most women, we are never satisfied in our own work. I saw ever flaw, but all she saw was the love, time, and effort I put in to making it one of the best days of her life!

Thank you for looking:))

Painting: Just for Fun!!!

One of the things I enjoy the most is painting and creating art to hang on my walls.  I have painted things for my house and I have also painted things for my daughter's house.

Sometimes I have actually painted a canvas and used it for a period of time then painted over it to re-purpose it.

Here are some of the most recent

Here are a few more that I had done when my daughter was on the turquoise kick.  She would redecorate and restyle her room every 6 months if it was possible.

Thank you for viewing my creative projects!
